Light blast text effect [photoshop]

In this tut u'll learn to make "light blast" text effect
image at the end:


1. Make new document, size 300x300, make background black n type ur text in white


(i suggest to make copy of text layer, cuz were gonna need it later n hide it by clicking on eye next to it)
2. Right click on ur layer n resterize type to rasterize
3. Goto Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates n choose "polar to rectangular"



4. Goto Filter>Stylize>Wind n select first from left then from the right


5. Goto Edit>Transform>Rotate 90 CCW
6. Goto Filter>Stylize>Wind n again apply first from the left then from the right



7. Go to Edit>Transform>Rotate 90 CW n go to Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates n now choose "Rectangular to polar"



8. Now make text layer (duplicated one) visible n place it on top of all layers (turn text color to black)



Optional: u can experiment with wind filter by adding it more in step 4 n 6
